Easiest way to use Aerophone GO, SWAM Saxophones and iPad (preferable) or PC

Hi, i am new to this entire world, and looking for the simplest, most straightforward way to connect my Aerophone GO to the SWAM sax sounds for practice, not performance!

I am not a pro, but want my Aerophone GO to sound as best as possible. I don't care about recording, adding other instruments, etc.

So if i buy the SWAM saxes, what is the cleanest, easiest way to play them on the Aerophone GO?

For iPad? - is this possible? if so, what DAW?

For PC? - i know this is possible through a variety of DAWs, but which is easiest, simplest, cleanest, least costly? Can it be done with a free DAW?

"easiest, simplest, cleanest" usually is a contradiction to "least costly" (because someone needs to provide the expertise and work to make it happen).

I do use Reaper that is cheap and extremely versatile, but not crafted for providing exactly this functionality "out of the Box".

To see a bunch of options you might want to read this thread -> https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=213568

Hi,
it's very easy to play your SWAM saxes:

Hi, it's very easy to play your SWAM saxes: - iPad: now you can't but, as you can see on our roadmap (https://community.audiomodeling.com/index.php?u=/topic/24/a-rough-roadmap), our dev team is working on it and soon it's will be possible to play SWAM instrument on iPad. - PC (Windows): for sure, you can play simply and easily your SWAM saxes. If you don't care about recording and adding other instruments, you can try our free version of Camelot Pro (https://camelotpro.com/download/) to play it. Camelot Pro is our VST host very simply and easy to use and play (see https://camelotpro.com/support/) - Lastly, you can see these tutorial to best set your aerophone with SWAM instruments. Even if they are speaking about the SWAM violin, the set up process is the same: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4E_WtTd58M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5Jx-X2fwv0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWgYKv5FEpQ

Thank you.

One more question....

If I buy the SWAM saxophone pack for PC, do I have to re-buy when it is available on iPad or can i simply reuse licence?

Trying to decide if i wait for the ipad solution or if they are 'reusable' i would purchase now for PC.

Hi,
SWAM pack for PC and iPad one are two different commercial products so you will have to re-buy it (obviously if you had bought PC pack before).
Unfortunately it's impossible to have a cross discount with apple store.

Dear @Paranza,
To play the Swam Saxophones on iPad is it necessary to buy the Swam Saxophones for Mac/PC version first and then a generic Swam for iPad app, or will there be a specific Swam Saxophones product for iPad?
This will help me make my buying decision sooner rather than later.
Thanks!
Wouter

This is great news that the IOS apps are progressing. Looking fwd to the day when I can use SWAM brass (emulate Memphis Sound/Tower of Power etc) & strings on my iPad Air3 for live use in a rock band. Will pickup a Roli 49 key controller at this time as well.
